Since learning that I have been given my proposed exhibition at the Alfred East gallery (Kettering), I have now started the mammoth task that is "tidying up" my pieces for exhibition.  A lot of my large (and oldest) pieces have a shocking bad quality paint finish (thanks to the "Galleria" paints, whereas now I use the much better "finity" paints) and so I am repainting a lot of the colours and re-doing the lines.  Yesterday I redid the "melchanoly daffodil" and it now looks much much better!  I also started work on the highly complex "Crystanthemum" and having done the black (which had a shockingly bad gloss tone to it beforehand), the yellow, the red (I can't believe I let it get viewed in that state) and the blue, I am now left with the task of trying to colour-match the grey to re-do that and then the bedazzling task of re-doing the lines (which as a complex piece will take a while!).

Inbetween that I need to weed my garden in the sun and then I will start on upgrading "Gerniums" and sorting out the quality of the large areas of yellow and red in particular.

Once I have updated all the pieces I am exhibiting I then need to sort out getting some high-res images done from a flatbed scanner, since despite all my efforts I cannot for the life of me get decent images with an excellent quality SLR!

Enjoy the beautiful day, it makes every colour so bright and intense!  Love it!
